Here are a few of some recent layout designs I did for 3Bugs In A Rug for CHA and other trade shows.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the music note paper! I wanna make a banner out of it over my piano.
Love this beautiful ride theme. So sweet!
This April Showers line is too cute! Plus I love the rain so I think these bright colors represent how happy a spring (or summer) rain is. Blame it on all those southern thunderstorms growing up.
We've had a lot of rain lately and one day I watched several people's behavior when a downpour started. Everyone bolted-- we all do that, right? But what I really saw through was how everyone that was running to get out of the rain, had a big smile on their face. Cause it really is fun to get wet in the rain. ;)
I made this wreath for Valentine's day this year, but I think it is perfect for a girls room. It is very easy to make, but definitely time consuming rolling all the roses. However, I think it was worth it! It made me happy when it was all done.
Fill in entire wreath. Then I added little rhinestones to the centers and inked the edges with some pink dye. Very subtle.
I am so happy with how it turned out and think it will even look cute in my girl's room after Valentines Day.
It was so much fun that I am making another more vintage version. Maybe I will post it too when I am all finished. All the paper I used for this wreath came from Three Bugs In A Rug.
This is my new favorite meal and I just have to share! Its filling, but light. And it has tons of flavor with very little fat! Its perfect for dinner or even a picnic. They are great when you have fresh garden produce that you need to use up. I love summer produce. These wraps just taste so fresh!
What you'll need:
2 cups of bagged Broccoli (or Cole) Slaw
1 large red bell pepper
1/2 cup cilantro
1 Roma tomato
Half pound of Grilled Chicken
6 Tblsp. Mayo
1/2 Tblsp. soy sauce
Wash all your produce and let it drain well. You won't want your
wraps to get soggy later.
I previously grilled some chicken with lemon pepper and a little garlic. You can use any chicken, even canned chicken if you want to make this meal on an evening that you don't want to cook anything. But I definitely recommend the grilled chicken!
In a bowl, add two cups of broccoli slaw. (Don't worry- this won't taste anything like traditional Cole slaw.)
Finely chop red bell pepper, tomato, cilantro, green onions, and carrot into small pieces.
Add all veggies to a bowl. It's pretty. :)
Shred chicken and add to your dish.
Add 1/2 Tblsp. soy sauce and 6 Tblsp. of Mayo for the dressing.
Then you add the juice of one lime. Mmmm... this is where it gets really yummy! I love lime!
Now, you can stir and blend it all together.
Photos just don't do justice as to how delicious it is all put together.
Lastly, arrange on some lettuce leaves. I like Romain, but any would work. This recipe makes about a dozen wraps.
The cilantro, pepper and lime make these wraps so tangy and fresh. My kids love them too and I love how many veggies they are getting when they eat them. I think next time I'll try a little crumbled bacon in them, but even without, they are delish!
